Breese, IL – Community Link extends thanks and gratitude to Amanda Loepker and Tara Hilmes for their service as a members of the Board of Directors. They have retired due to term limits, serving since 2020.
Within her 6-year term, Loepker has provided leadership as the board president as well as financial expertise as the board treasurer and as a member of the planning and development committee. Her cousin, Heather, has attended Community Link since high school and participates in Community Link’s Intermittent CILA program (Community Integrated Living Arrangements). Loepker has years of accounting experience and is currently the vice president of accounting and finance at Southwestern Electric Cooperative.
Hilmes retires from the board as the vice president. She has extensive experience as a nurse practitioner, and is a former employee of Community Link. This blend of nursing expertise and working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities has been a valuable asset to the board. Currently, Hilmes is the Founder and CEO of Eterna Beauty & Wellness which she established in Highland in 2021.
“Amanda and Tara have been incredible allies in support of our mission,” said John Huelskamp, Executive Director of Community Link. “As a family member, Amanda’s passion to ensure the participants of Community Link could flourish was evident through her decision making and guidance. Tara really leaned in during the pandemic, when her experience as a nurse helped navigate difficult times. We are truly grateful for their meaningful service.”
