Community Link Earns Three-Year CARF Accreditation

May 18, 2026

Community Link is proud to announce that it has been awarded a three-year accreditation from CARF International in Community Integration and Organizational Employment Services.

CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, uses internationally recognized standards during a rigorous peer-review survey process. For more than 50 years, CARF accreditation has been the benchmark of excellence in the field.

The survey findings highlight Community Link’s strong reputation among participants, families, and community partners. Stakeholders consistently expressed satisfaction with services and high regard for the organization’s leadership and staff. Community Link was recognized for its deep commitment to person-centered services, ensuring that each individual’s choices, strengths, and preferences guide service delivery.

Community Link demonstrates a culture of dignity, respect, and empowerment, where the voices of participants are central to daily operations and decision-making. Through initiatives like the Participant Advisory Council, program participants play a meaningful role in shaping programs and services. Families also noted the organization’s experienced staff and the welcoming, family-like atmosphere.

Community Link’s dedication to community engagement was also recognized, with participants giving back through volunteer efforts such as Meals on Wheels.

“This achievement truly reflects the dedication and passion of our staff,” said Laurie Henken, director of adult day programs. “They bring an exceptional level of care, respect, and support to our participants every day.”

Earning CARF accreditation is an important milestone, as it provides a proven framework for implementing best practices and delivering high-quality services. For Community Link, this recognition also drives future growth and innovation, particularly as the organization continues to evolve and expand its day program offerings to meet the diverse needs and interests of individuals with developmental disabilities.
