Community Link Hosts First Prom Night

Breese, IL— Community Link is grateful to everyone who helped make its first Prom Night a shining success. The special celebration for their Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) program residents was held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Breese, Illinois.

With the magical theme of “A Night Under the Stars,” the afternoon was filled with music, dancing, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Guests enjoyed a true prom experience with beautiful backdrops for photos, a photo booth, corsage and boutonniere flowers, and dancing the afternoon away with DJ RYD’L in a beautifully decorated venue that sparkled like a dreamy night sky. Light refreshments and plenty of smiles completed the celebration.

“We wanted to create a special afternoon where our participants could dress up, feel special, and make a magical memory,” said Community Link Assistant Director of Community Living Programs, Jessica Henry. “This was more than just a dance — it was a celebration of inclusion, joy, and community.”

The organization would like to thank friends and family who donated goods and services for the event and businesses including the Knights of Columbus – Breese donated the hall for the afternoon. Jim’s Formal Wear in Trenton generously donated tuxes for all 23 men attending and Maroon Bridal donated several prom dresses. Theresa Morrison and Mioux Florist donated the flowers. Memory Booth Maker Photo Booth donated the photo booth. Boho Balloon Company donated the balloon arch and many decorations. Knotty Pine held a Giving Tuesday fundraiser to help with the prom expenses.
