Dairy King and Community Link Partnership
Breese, IL- In 2024, Community Link created a new Community Partners program to connect with local businesses who share their vision to build a community where everyone is valued for their presence and contributions.
Part of the program is to provide more opportunities for Community Link participants to engage with their community year-round, beyond annual events. Dairy King has been a strong supporter of Community Link for many years and has become one of the first Community Partners.
On December 17, Dairy King hosted an exciting behind the scenes tour of the Breese restaurant, including the basement and new dining room. Community Link participants, who have been long time fans of Dairy King, had the chance to see how their favorite food, drink, and ice cream treats are made.
Michele Maue, owner of Dairy King, began the tour by showing how orders are taken, including some of the automation used to ensure that all orders are fast and fresh. She took Community Link participants to all parts of the building and explained how the business has grown and expanded over the years.
In the basement, the tour group saw the giant walk-in coolers as well as shelves of Dairy King shirts and merchandise. They were most impressed by the soda fountains with so many different sodas and flavors, and more Ski than they had ever seen before.
Maue then treated the group to enjoy their favorite drinks in the newly renovated dining room. Community Link participants were grateful for the opportunity to learn about the business that has been a long-time traditional favorite of the community.
