Building Skills for Daily Living
Community Day Services is a comprehensive program spanning multiple counties with main locations in Breese and Fairview Heights. The hours of service are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The program offers person-centered services that are driven by the desires and needs of each participant. Services and supports are provided by qualified, certified Direct Support Professionals who utilize the community, classrooms and work experiences to foster growth and to enhance the quality of life of our participants.
Participants may work one on one with staff for personal goals and also participate in group activities which may include art, exercise, music and movement, reading, sensory stimulation, cooking, birthday celebrations, dance classes or gardening.
To ensure the safety and well-being of participants, a registered nurse is onsite at each location. All program staff is certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the Mandt System, a specific curriculum designed to build rapport and relationships.
