Community Link Thanks Board Members for Service

Breese, IL – Community Link would like to thank Paulette Evans, Theresa Morrison, and Kirsten Wilkerson for their service as members of the Board of Directors. Evans and Morrison have retired due to term-limits, serving since 2018. Wilkerson has served since 2022.

Evans joined the board after being employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese for 43 years and retiring as the Chief Executive Officer. She holds her master’s degree in nursing. She has also volunteered on the St. Joseph’s Hospital Board of Directors, McKendree University Honor Society, Clinton County Health Board and Clinton County Emergency Preparedness Committee. On the Community Link Board of Directors, Evans served as secretary and as vice president.

Morrison spent her professional life teaching special education. She developed the first autistic classroom for the Triad School District. Her son, Alex, has been with Community Link since high school and lives in one of their CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) homes. Morrison has served as the secretary of the Community Link Board of Directors.

Dr. Wilkerson received her Doctorate in Psychology from Illinois State University. She has 26 years of experience in the school setting completing evaluations to obtain special education services and serves as a resource for family and teachers. As a member of the Community Link Board of Directors she brought her expertise to the children’s programs.

“Community Link sincerely appreciates all of the time, talent and treasure that Paulette, Theresa and Kirsten have invested in our participants and our organization over the past several years. Their presence and leadership on the Board will be sorely missed and we wish them well in all future endeavors,” stated John Huelskamp, executive director.
