Community Link Welcomes Sandra Porter to the Board of Directors

July 01, 2021

Breese, IL – Ms. Sandra Porter has been recently appointed to join the Board of Directors at Community Link.

Ms. Porter has been involved in Community Link programs for over 20 years, and fills an important role as a participant representative.  She believes it will be interesting and good for her to learn more about the agency.  She is willing to help in any way, especially in the preparation for fund raising activities such as glo bingo and the annual Buddy Walk.  She has participated in these events for many years and is excited to be a part of the planning process.

She has served her community as a volunteer, most recently at the Germantown Public Library.  Working inside and out to keep the building nice, she helped clean the tables and chairs, computers, and bathrooms.  She also vacuumed and swept the driveway.  In her free time, she enjoys bingo as well as going shopping and out to eat.

“Sandra Porter is an excellent addition to our Board of Directors,” said John Huelskamp, Executive Director of Community Link.  “Sandra’s passion for our organization and her ability to advocate for herself as well as her fellow participants fits perfectly with our person-centered culture.”
