Breese, IL—Community Link announced that its 14th Annual Buddy Walk will be held virtually.
The event is the eleventh largest Buddy Walk in the country and the largest in Illinois, and is scheduled to take place Labor Day weekend, September 5-7. Community Link said that this year each of the teams will play host.
Over the course of Community Link’s Walk, Run, Stroll or Roll Your Way Weekend on September 5-7, individuals will celebrate their buddy however they choose, whether it be a walk in a local park, neighborhood, drive by parade of cars or by running in their 5K.
Scavenger Hunt & Selfie Challenge
Community Link staff are working on a scavenger hunt and selfie challenge for registrants to participate in during their walk. Instructions for both the scavenger hunt and selfie challenge will be posted on Community Link’s social media platforms and the Buddy Walk website as soon as they’ve been finalized.
Registrants can post their photos to social media using hashtags #communitylink #buddywalk #buddywalk2020 #buddywalkgoesvirtual #walkyourway to be entered into a drawing for prizes. Complimentary 2021 Buddy Walk registration for four people and lunch for the winner plus three friends at The Red Porch are just a couple of the prizes.
