Community Link’s Metro Facility Celebrates 10 Years of Service

June 07, 2018

Located in Fairview Heights, Community Link's Metro location has served individuals with developmental disabilities for ten years.

Originally constructed as a church, the building on Bunkum Road operated as a Church of God until July 14, 2008 when Community Link purchased the building. The organization shared space with the church for a few years until enrollment dictated a need to expand.

Currently, developmental training services and production work are provided to more than 70 participants from the Metro East area. "Albert Einstein once said, 'Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living.' That's exactly how we feel at Community Link," stated John Huelskamp, executive director for Community Link.

Community Link is hosting a 10-year anniversary celebration on Friday, July 13th from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at its Fairview Heights facility. Participants, family and friends are invited to come and observe this milestone with us.
