FCB Banks made monetary donations to non-profits within the community to assist during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community Link was fortunate to be a recipient of a $1,000 grant.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Community Link has had many challenges. Much of the organization’s operation relies on participants attending our three primary locations in Breese and Fairview Heights for day training services. Since March 17th, these activities have been shuttered. This has negatively impacted the organization’s ability to produce revenue streams in this portion of the business model.
Another portion of Community Link’s operations is CILA homes—congregate housing for persons with developmental disabilities. To keep the residents of these homes healthy and safe during COVID-19, Community Link has made many investments in personal protective equipment (PPE). For the foreseeable future, these extraordinary expenses will persist. Eric Robke, Community Link’s interim executive director stated, “A $1,000 grant from FCB Banks will go a long way towards securing more PPE as Community Link continues to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.”
